R is a free statistical, graphing and data management software. Unfortunately, R is very hard to learn. To bridge the gap between authoritative (but expensive) reference textbooks and free but often technical and difficult to understand help files, I created R Instructor.

R Instructor is an Android and iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch application that uses plain, non-technical language and over 30 videos to explain how to make and modify plots, manage data and conduct both parametric and non-parametric statistical tests. Each example includes a very brief description of the function or test, any statistical assumptions, how to structure your data, the appropriate R scripts and links to other free and online resources. An Android version is imminent.

I'm always working on new videos and expanding the range of content in R Instructor. To learn more, view the video below or read a complete description on iTunes or Google Play

It beats the books. Smart and powerful app that will teach you basic R commands. Not a word is wasted. Clear, well organized, and easy to navigate. Probably the best introductory resource to R I've come across, anywhere.

Brilliant quick reference and learning tool for R. Terrific. R Instructor's top-down, hierarchical organization of material makes it truly easy to find your category (e.g. plotting) then drill down to the aspect you want detail about. The detail is pared down brilliantly: syntax, explanation, assumptions where relevant and examples are concise and to the point. I found answers in minutes I had not found elsewhere in hours.

A very practical tool. No R user should be without it

I have found this app very useful. I really like the integration of short instructional videos. The developer replies immediately to emails and is incredibly helpful. Good stuff.

Great App! This app is really handy, I've had it for like two hours and I must have used it 10 times already. Great app! [...] Thanks for this!!!
